Green Day Celebration - KG Section
Colours fill our lives with joy and happiness. Being the prime colour, GREEN is also the colour of life,
Nature, growth and prosperity. St Cecily's Kindergarten celebrated GREEN DAY on 4th August 2023.
The main objective of celebrating Green Day was to create awareness about Mother Earth and to
cherish the greenery we are blessed with.
To reinforce the significance and concept of green colour, teachers as well as the tiny tots dressed
up in green attire. They enthusiastically watered saplings along with their class teacher and
coordinator- Sr Priya Maria A.C., the Principal - Sr Lathika A.C. and the Vice- Principal -Sr Lavi Shanthi
A.C..
The little angels added melody and cheer to the celebration with action songs and dances. They
also enacted a beautiful skit to deliver the significance of green colour and also did colouring and
collage work with their innocent and vivid ideas.
In her message, the Principal highlighted the importance and co-ordination of green colour and
Mother Nature and thereby advised and inspired the little ones to take care of Mother Earth and
Nature. The children took this opportunity to bring over different types of green vegetables. They
visited the Sister Institution on the campus and distributed the same. Classrooms also reflected the
theme colour. Thus it was indeed a fun filled Green day.
